Cool Off with These 6 Delicious Frozen Drink Recipes

It’s summer, and the temperatures are soaring. All you want to do is bask in the heat, poolside, with an icy cold drink in one hand.

Well, we’ve got you covered.

Summer Drinks to Keep You Chilled Out All Season

These delicious summer drinks will make you feel like you’re on vacation. However, they’re also easy to make.

1. Pineapple Coolers

A cup or two of ice and some tropical flavors blend together in a snap for these coolers. All you need are pineapple chunks, lime juice, coconut milk, and rum. Mix in a blender for an escape to the tropics.

2. Wine Slushy

A wine slushy sounds fun and frivolous, but it’s easy to make. Just grab a bottle of your favorite wine and pour into an ice cube tray. Freeze, then pop the cubes into a blender. Blend until you get the slushy consistency you want.

Pour into a stemless wine glass – it’s more laid-back – and enjoy your summer drinks.

3. Frozen Brazilian Lemonade

This Brazilian treat uses limes, not lemons, but it’s just as delicious as lemonade. You’ll also be using the entire lime, so make sure you get good ones with a thin, dark skin.

Start by mixing three cups of cold water with one cup of sugar. Keep it chilled. Cut each of four limes into 8 wedges. Put half of the wedges in a blender and add half of the sugar water. Pulse five times.

Strain the resulting mixture into a pitcher. Use a spoon to help extract the liquid from the pulp. Discard the pulp. Repeat this process (blending and straining) with the remaining limes and sugar water.

Add six tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk and 40 medium ice cubes. Blend it all together, adding more sugar to taste and more ice or water to achieve your desired consistency.

Pour into chilled glasses. Add straws and umbrellas and pretend you’re on a Brazilian beach vacation.

4. Triple Layer Piña Colada

These Piña Colada are like a vacation in a glass. They look fancy, but are easy.

Just throw some rum, fresh pineapple, agave nectar, lime juice, coconut cream, and ice into a blender. This is the base mix. Mix up this concoction two more times in separate bowls, but add freshly chopped peach to one and three chopped strawberries to the other. Blend separately, then layer in glasses.

5. Bourbon Peach Slush

Bourbon and peach are a southern summer dream. Just blend together peach simple syrup, bourbon, and ice for a fantastic drink. Sip it on slow, warm evenings on the front porch.

6. Copycat Orange Julius

You can get the taste of a classic Orange Julius without having to visit the mall. Just blend up orange juice with milk, water, sugar, ice cubes, and a few teaspoons of vanilla extract. The result? A frothy orange drink worthy of summer.
